BOOMER SOONER!!!

OU Football is finally here. Our family is so excited for the first OU game of the season. Aaron has been talking about this game since last December. Now, I get to hear him analyze the team for the next 12 weeks! Jack is going to the game with Aaron and Aaron's parents. Jack has been chanting "GO OU" for the last two days. I hope all goes wel with Jack at the game, because if he is a good boy then Daddy will take him again this season. You know what that means for me? At least 6 hours without a 3 year old! Molly and I will be at home sipping Margaritas and yelling at the television. Good Luck to the team and to all Sooner fans! GO OU!!!

Happy Birthday Jack!!!

Our little man turned 3 years old yesterday. It was such a fun day. He woke up extra early and when he saw his presents he asked me, "is it Christmas?" The day was full of all of Jack's favorites. For breakfast we went to Daylight Donuts, lunch we went to Chick-Fil-A and for dinner we went to Chuck E Cheese. On SUnday we are going to have his birthday party with the Crosswhite and Strope families. So, the Spiderman cake pictures will be up next week.

Here is a picture of Jack's birthday present from Aaron and I. He loves it!!! He is doing so well driving and thank goodness the truck has a "high speed lock-out".

It is amazing that I have been a mom for three years. I will never forget the day that Jack came in to the world. He weighed 8lbs 8 ounces and was 21 1/2 inches long. He was so beautiful, yet so swollen and bruised. I was in labor with Jack for 22 hours and pushed for 2 1/2 hours. Jack came out "sunny side-up" and with his arms crossed over his chest. He was so stubborn and would never turn over so his position made it near impossible to deliver him. SO, when he finally made it into the world, he was a bit bruised and beat up. Jack's birth was one of the two most precious moments of my life.

Molly's trick!

We have patiently been waiting for Molly to roll over from her tummy to her back. I was hoping she would save it for when Aaron would be home to witness it. We both witnessed Jack's first roll-over and even captured it on video. But poor Molly was captured on the third roll-over. However, we all witnessed the first roll together. Big Bro, Jack, was sooooo excited to actually see her sister do a trick. He kept yelling "Yea, Molly Wobbles!" Here she is in action.

4 Month Check-up

Miss Molly had her routine check-up this morning. Of course she decided to take a longer morning nap than her usual, and I hate to wake a sleeping baby, so we were late. Then we got stuck at a traffic light that was not working and four major morons were trying to direct the traffic. We were three cars back and we sat for 9 minutes. So, we were 10 minutes late to her appointment. I am glad that I called and told them we were going to be late because usually they are grumpy with tardiness.

Molly weighs 17 little pounds and 2 tiny ounces, this puts her in the 100th percentile for her weight. She is 26 1/2 inches long, so she is 100th percentile as well in height. Thank goodness her head is only the 75th percentile. Dr. "P" was very pleased with our "little" Molly.

We're Back!

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted anything on our blog. We have been gone on vacation to Cabo. We got to enjoy six wonderful nights, well Aaron had six wonderful nights because I was the one getting up continuously with Molly. Aaron's parents took the entire family to Cabo for our summer vacation. Aaron's dad is retiring this fall and both Aaron's parents turn sixty this year! So, his parents wanted to treat everyone to a fabulous vacation in Mexico. And fabulous it was.



It all started with an early flight from OKC to Dallas to Cabo. Aaron and I were upgraded to first class because of all his flyer miles. First class is the way to fly. We left Jack in coach with Aunt Jessica and we sat up front and sipped cocktails. Molly was with us and she slept the entire flight. She is such a super flyer and definitely was the cutest baby on the plane.



We got to Cabo and had a driver pick us up at the airport. Here is a pic of all of our luggage. This guy got a big tip! You can't really see how large each bag was, or that there are three sets of golf clubs, and not to mention three car seats. This is not counting every one's carry on bags and two diaper bags. We had a lot of stuff!!



When we arrived at the house our personal chef had already whipped us up some great margaritas (which we got the recipe), and delicious guacamole and pico. Yum-O! Fernando was our chef and he cooked for us four of the seven days we were in Cabo. He made fish tacos, tamales, shrimp ceviche, fajitas, rice and beans, el hombre, Kahlua Flan, and of course my favorite, the margaritas. Fernando was so friendly and loved Jack, Molly, and cousin Andrew. He even told us that he has cooked for John McCain, David Hasselhoff, President Bush Sr. and several other presidents from other countries. You could say, "we felt special." His authentic Mexican cooking made the week perfect.

I wish I would have taken more pictures of the house. It was 6,000 sq feet and had a private pool and hot tub. The pool water was so warm due to the high temps. We videoed the house but forgot to take pictures with the camera. Maybe the other family members took some great pics and if so I will post them later. Here is one picture of the view of the ocean from the pool.



Aaron, Jason, and Grandpa had two days of great golf. The first day they played at Cabo Del Sol. This course is ranked the #1 golf course in Mexico. Aaron shot an 82 and was so pumped. He claims that the $350.00 putter he got for his birthday was the key to his good day. So, if you add up the cost of the new putter and the green fee for that course.....it better be a good day of golf. Here are a couple pictures of Cabo Del Sol.






On vacation, the Strope family spent their time; lounging by the pool, playing on the beach, reading, eating, playing golf, enjoying spa treatments, playing cards, sleeping, playing hide-and-seek and duck-duck-goose, and of course drinking margaritas!!! Molly enjoyed a few drinks too!!!

I do have more to say and share with you. But, this is a work in progress and it's late and I am tired from packing up our house all day today. We have to be out by Monday. So, give me a little more time and I will have a slide show for you to enjoy. I just wanted to get something posted, because some of you have been bugging me about it.

Computer Geek

If you have ever been around Jack, you have learned that he loves the computer. Everyday he asks me, can we play "Moose." Moose means that he wants to get on the computer and go to Noggin.com A few of his favorites are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Thomas the Tank Engine, Sesame Street, and Nick Jr. So, yesterday we were playing Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while Molly was taking her first nap of the day. Molly woke up and started crying, so I went to her and left Jack sitting at the computer. When I returned I found him on a "Johnny and the Sprites" link and he was playing a game. He was working so hard with the mouse and was so patient when he was manuevering it on the mouse pad. I could not believe that my almost three year old was playing the computer all by himself. He was so happy and so excited that he was doing it by himself. I captured the moment for you.

3 months

Miss Molly Bryce is 3 months old. Wow, how time flies. Before I know it I will have a third child! Molly is growing so fast and quite the chunky-monkey these days. She has turned from a high maintenance baby to a very happy smiley baby. She is full of smiles and loves to coo at anyone who will talk to her. She is sleeping anywhere from 8 to 10 hours straight at night, so she only nurses once. The complete opposite of her brother, Jack. Jack ate at the "all-night buffet" for at least five months and yet Molly has turned out to be the chubby baby. They are so different, yet look so much alike. Molly loves her brother, Jack. I can see how happy she becomes when he is around. She smiles with her eyes and is always looking for him when she hears his loud voice. We all love her so much and look forward to all of her firsts.
