Thanks Julie!!!!

My oh so amazing friend, Julie, took this beautiful picture of my baby boy. Julie drove down from Iowa to meet Luke and to shoot her first newborn photo session. She seriously needs to get a photography business going, because this picture is awesome. You would never have known that Luke was her first tiny baby to shoot. She was so professional and came to my house well prepared for the shoot. She knitted this fun blue and white hat and another adorable hat just for Luke. Thank you Julie for your amazing friendship and your incredible talent! It was great seeing you!!

There were many more pictures taken that day. Julie just sent me this sneak peak and I could not wait to share it with my friends and family. To be continued.....

Luke Meets World

Here are some great pictures that we had taken while we were in the hospital. I am so glad that I had this done. I especially love the pictures of Jack and Molly checking out all of Luke's body parts. It is crazy to think that this Wednesday, Luke will be two weeks old. It is going too fast and I want him to stay this little forever. He is a great baby. He hardly ever cries and sleeps so good at night. I pray that he continues to be a good baby and that Jack and Molly continue to be so accepting of him. I hope you like our pictures. I have plenty more, but would hate to overload blogger with my pictures and bore you. Enjoy!

Jack and Luke

Jack spent some time telling Luke all about life. I am not sure what was actually shared with Luke. I am sure it was all about superheroes and Phineus and Ferb. Jack asked me if Luke could see very good. When I told him "no", Jack got up in his face and made sure that Luke could see him. Luke has responded to Jack's voice since birth. I think he recognizes Jack's voice, because Jack talks non-stop these days. I hope and pray that Jack is a good role model for Luke and that even though there is almost 5 years between them, they are great friends. I love my two boys.

Naptime

Today, Luke and I enjoyed a long uninterrupted nap. When I woke up I took these because he looked so peaceful.

Lovin on Luke

Today we spent lots of time lovin on Luke. Jack and Molly took turns today holding Luke and he got many kisses from his big bro and big sis. It is wonderful to watch Jack and Molly share their love with Luke.

Luke

Luke has already changed so much since yesterday. His cone head has gone down quite a bit. He has been awake and loves the sound of his daddy's voice. He is so sweet and feels so good in my arms. We had a great night last night cuddling and he is a champ when he nurses. I love my lil Luke.

Luke Daniel Strope

The newest addition to the Strope family is finally here. It was a long day, but Luke finally joined us at 5:55pm. He was a rather large 8lbs and 11 oz and was 21 inches long. Everybody is dong fine and ready to get some sleep. Big brother and big sister could not be happier or more proud. Molly kept saying Aww...and touching his head and ears. Just like a typical 4 year old boy, Jack stayed interested for about 5 minutes. Then Papa showed up and his interest was lost. Thank you for all the well wishes and prayers. We can't wait for everyone to meet him!

Baby Brother

Well, we are scheduled for an induction in two and a half hours. It is 3 am and I can't sleep. I must be excited, but also very nervous. I cannot wait to meet Jack and Molly's baby brother. Please pray that our little guy is healthy and strong. Please pray for me, my doctor, and all of the nurses. It is so exciting and amazing to think that before this day is over, I will be a mother of three!

Afternoon Entertainment

Well, it's May in Oklahoma. Therefore, tornadoes have a tendency to show their face around our area. Jack is fascinated with News Channel 4 and is very concerned that tornadoes are coming to our house. Molly too, has picked up on the excitement of Oklahoma weather and the weathermen. They both got rather scared when the tornado sirens went off this afternoon. But, once we got in the closet and everyone was covered up by a blanket and pillows, they were fine.

As for me, I was hoping that my water would break and send me in to labor. No such luck. I am now 38weeks 5 days. The number keeps going up. Thank goodness my doctor scheduled an induction for Wednesday. I am ready!

Here is Jack hanging out in the closet when we first started watching the weather. Thanks Aaron for cleaning out our tornado shelter this weekend!

Kung Fu Jack

Jack is spending the night with his cousins. This is an email that his uncle sent to me. Jack cracks me up!!! He is a Karate Kid fan and especially likes the "Crane Kick".
