What Do You Crave?

1. Eggs
2. Onion Rings with loads of Ketchup
3. Bagels with Cream Cheese and Extra Cream Cheese
4. Tacos
5. Salad
6. Breakfast Food

These are just a few of the ridiculous cravings that I have had over the last few weeks. Being pregnant does funny things to my taste buds.

Yes, I am pregnant and I am in trouble if I continue to eat this way. I will be 10 weeks on Wednesday and thankfully I am getting closer to my second trimester. It has been a rough 5 weeks but thanks to Aaron and my mom, we are surviving. Oh, and thanks to a little white pill called Zofran, I am surviving.

We told Jack the news this past weekend. Molly has known for 6 weeks, but she can keep a secret. Jack is very excited and hopeful that it is going to be a boy. His first response to the baby news, "Molly, we get to go to Mickey's House!" Aaron has told Jack that after we have all of our babies then we will go to Walt Disney World. I guess Jack thinks that 3 kids is enough.

I had my first doctor's appointment last week and got to hear the most precious sound in the world! That swish-swish-swish brings a total sense of relief every time you hear it.

So, Baby Strope #3 is expected to enter our world May 19th. We are all so excited and we thank God for His most precious gift.

Blair Elizabeth Newby

My new niece was born yesterday afternoon. Blair Elizabeth Newby is the newest addition to my sister's family. Blair has 3 older siblings, Hanna, Ben, and Sara. She is a very special little girl and is loved by so many.

Emergency Room Visit

On Tuesday afternoon, Molly was curious about the file cabinet in Aaron's office. She pulled the file cabinet and small t.v. that sits on top of it, over on to her!


Jack was playing the computer and completely oblivious to what Molly was doing. Next thing I know, I hear Jack screaming. I found Molly next to the t.v. and sobbing. She seemed to be okay once she stopped crying. She had a red mark on her right temple and that was all I could see. But, as she tried to get down and play, she kept crying and pointing to her left shoulder. I watched her for a little while longer and she was getting very upset about her shoulder. When she wanted me to pick her up, I would put my hands under her armpits and she would scream. And I mean scream!

So, I called our pediatrician, and of course it was after 5 o'clock. She wanted me to take her to the ER and have xrays done. After sitting in the ER for 5 hours, we finally got to see a doctor. They did xrays, which Molly was not happy about. She did manage to remember her manners and told the xray lady "thank you". They then placed her arm in a splint so that she would not use that arm. Xrays looked good, however they referred us to a Pediatric Orthopedist. We got in to see the orthopedist the next day. More xrays and an exam. No broken bones or visible fractures. The doctor said that small children can be very difficult to diagnose. As an R.N. and a mom, I want a diagnosis! He told us that there could be a hidden fracture that he can't see at this time. So, he wants to see us in two weeks to reassess Miss Molly.

We got the splint off and we are rotating Tylenol and Ibuprofen. She is still hurting and cries when you pick her up wrong. The pain is somewhere in her shoulder/armpit area. Today she refuses to let us touch her in that area. She knows that it hurts her and she pushes us away. Smarty Pants.

So, hopefully it is a deep bruise that she is mad about right now. I keep hoping and praying that she will stop hurting. Her guardian angel was with her on Tuesday, because it could have been so much worse.

Pumpkin Patch

Last Saturday we went to Parkhurst Pumpkin Patch. There really isn't a true pumpkin patch so it is more of an activity farm. Jack enjoyed feeding all the animals. Molly was truely terrified of all of the animals. So, Aaron got to do all of the fun stuff with Jack. Jack loved the hay fort and the corn maze. It was a fun morning, just hard to believe that it is October.

Swingset

Look what Aaron and I put together for the kids. It took 24 hard working hours and we never argued once! Jack and Molly love it. Now we just need a baby swing for Molly to really enjoy herself.

There are a few pieces missing in this picture. Jack's pirate wheel is one missing piece that he is very pleased to have.

This is a picture of Jack and Molly playing restaurant. Molly loves to order "apple juice". She also likes it when we order apple juice and request "more please". She giggles when you say more and she pretends to fill up the cup. We will spend lots of time playing this game!

Sleeping Beauty

Molly has been sick on and off for the last week and a half. This has been her first sick spell and she has been quite the little trooper. This morning we had to get out of the house to find food for breakfast and to buy mouse traps. The mouse traps is another story to tell. So, we got home and she was watching Elmo on t.v. and she fell asleep! Crazy. This little girl only sleeps in her bed, she never falls asleep in the car. She must be feeling yucky.

Boomer Sooner

We are fired up for the OU vs Miami game tonight. Aaron and Jack are playing football in the living room. Jack is a future Heisman Trophy winner! Go OU, beat the hell out of Miami!!!!!
