30 weeks

As of today I am 30 weeks in to my pregnancy. It has really gone by fast, now I would like it to slow down. I am not ready to have 3 children. We have so much to do before our baby gets here and I am not moving very fast. I am enjoying watching my belly grow and feeling all of his kicks and hiccups.

Here are pictures of Jack and Molly playing a game that we call, "Charlie Spider." Basically they are spider tickling their baby brother. Taking these pictures while laying down and holding my camera above my head was rather difficult. I wish Jack was in the pictures, but my camera lens is very narrow.

Molly wants to do everything that Jack does. Rock climbing is scary for a mother, but I decided that I could continue to tell her "no" or I could show her how to climb the rock wall. Well, she figured it out after one try and continued to climb the wall 87 times.

Poor Jack

Jack came home from school last week with fever and a bad attitude! Friday is the worst day of the week to get sick. It always happens to us. Jack always manages to need a doctor visit over the weekend. So, we went to a clinic and found out that he has a nasty infection in his throat. Pharyngitis to be exact. So, after four full days of 103 degree fever, he is finally feeling better. This is Jack telling me not to take a picture of his nasty throat. But, the nurse that I am, wants to have a picture of this.

Look closely at the white exudate at the back of his throat and notice the swelling. This actually looks better!

So, because of his sickness, Jack has been doing a lot of this. I love watching him sleep.

Two for Tea

Today at lunch, while Jack was at MDO, Molly and I went to a tea room. It was not a planned lunch, just a craving from a pregnant mommy. It was so special taking Molly to lunch at the tea room. I looked at her from across the table and was all smiles. The waitress asked me if Molly would drink her pink lemonade from a tea cup! I just looked at her and thought,"you must not have children." So, my response to her, "do you have a tea cup with a lid?" Molly had a great time at our big girl lunch. She acted as if she new that this lunch was different than our many lunches at Chick-fil-A and McDonald's. There is a chance that Molly could be my only daughter and that makes me so proud! I look forward to all of our girly lunches, shopping sprees, tea parties, pedicures, dance recitals, dress fittings, and many more mother/daughter activities.

Here I am at 27 weeks and 5 days! We are getting there. There is still not an official name, Aaron and I can't decide on anything. Jack is tired of me asking him if he wants to feel the baby move. He did get excited this morning when I told him that his brother had the hiccups. Jack was able to feel the vibration from the hiccups, so he thought that was "awesome." Molly loves to kiss my belly and she tells her brother, "come pay me."

I only think to take pictures when Aaron is out of town, that is why Jack got to take the picture. We set up the tripod, because he thought it would be fun. It isn't the greatest pic, so I converted it to black and white. Thanks Jack!!

Boys and Bugs

Jack and Molly's cousin, Ben, had his 7th birthday on Friday. This year Ben wanted to take his friends and cousins to see the bugs. We got to visit an Entomologist at OSU. Entomology is the study of insects. Ben and his friends had a blast holding and touching the insects. My children were happy to stand back and watch the bigger boys touch the bugs. I got some really fun pictures of Ben and his friends with the bugs. Unfortunately, I don't know these boys or their mothers, so I left them off the blog. Too bad, because the expressions on their faces are hilarious.

Molly and Sara. The age difference between these two is the same as Jack and Ben. I hope these two girls grow to love each other like Jack and Ben.
When I told Jack that Ben was turning 7, Jack started crying. I asked him why he was crying and he told me, " I don't want him to be bigger than me. I want to be just like Ben!" It was the sweetest sad face ever. Jack idolizes Ben and we are so lucky that they live so close.

Some of the boys held this disgusting scorpion. They were fearless.

Aaron wanted to hold the tarantula. Jack stood across the room when this hairy guy came out.

This is a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach. I actually touched this one.

Jack touched this cockroach for a few seconds. Then he panicked and told me that the bug peed on him. I think he heard the older boys saying this.

Not sure what this one was. But, it was huge and the boys liked letting it crawl up their arms.

Missed the name of this one too. I did hear Mr. Bug Guy say that he looks like leaves. This insect moved very slowly and when he would stop walking, he would sway like the leaves on a tree.

These three are just cute. Molly had a pretty good time playing with the microscopes and checking out all of the blue butterflies. Molly is obsessed with the color blue.

Overall, it was a great birthday and we were happy to celebrate it with Ben.
