What a mess

Tonight at dinner, I was rather distracted. We had just gotten home from the grocery store and I was busy putting away the groceries. Molly was wanting to eat every snack food so I stuck her in her chair and fed her dinner. While I was busy, this is the mess she made. Molly decided to spread her applesauce all over her head. I promise her hair was in two cute pigtails before she started dinner.

Strope Family Christmas

THis past weekend we went to Dallas and celebrated Christmas with Aaron's family. We all stayed at Aaron's brother's house and had a great time. Jack and Molly love their cousins, Andrew and Valentina. It is always fun watching Jack and Andrew play together. Andrew will do anything that Jack does, and now Molly is right there with them. Valentina is 10 months old so she spent most of her time crawling around and eating anything on the floor that the three other kids may have left behind. Overall, the weekend was great. We had an amazing dinner on Friday night and opened presents after dinner. We were hoping to wait and open gifts on Saturday morning, but Jack and Andrew were not going to have any part of that.

Aunt Jessica and Sam gave Miss Molly a box full of the "Disney Princess" costumes. She loves them! Her attention span is not long, so the costume stays on for a whole 30 seconds and then we move on to the next one.


Jack got a new camera and it is perfect for him. Of course not the best quality pictures, but fun for him. I love his face in this picture.

This was also a Christmas present. Jack and Andrew spent a lot of time fighting over who was going to get to wear it.

Overall, it was a great weekend and filled with family, fun, and food. What more could you ask for during the holidays. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

Baby Boy Strope

My 19 week ultrasound was done the week of Christmas. Aaron, Jack, Molly, and I crammed into to a tiny dark room to see our precious growing baby. It was a lot of fun to have the kids there to join in on the excitement. Jack was hoping for a boy and he was really excited when the penis was put up on the screen and the announcement was made, "it's a boy". I believe Jack's words to describe it were, "it's unbelievable". So, here are two pictures of me and my growing belly. I am 20 weeks in these pictures. No laughing!!!

Christmas

Christmas activities started once my little sister, Maggie, flew in from Ohio. We got together at my house for cookie baking. This is my sister Katie and her daughter Sara.

Christmas morning was fun for the kids. Jack woke Aaron and I up by jumping on the end of our bed and pleading, "open presents, open presents, open presents!" Within seconds of Jack jumping on the bed, Jack and I were in the bathroom puking our guts up. Thanks to our Newby cousins, Jack and I were sick on Christmas day. So, I did a terrible job of taking pictures.

Molly was really cute opening one or two presents. Once she realized there was candy in her stocking, she was done with the presents. I had to open the rest for Molly.

So, because of the snow and the terrible Oklahoma roads, we didn't get to go anywhere on Christmas. We had plans to be with my family, but had to put that on hold until the weekend. After everyone was feeling better, we made it to my mom and dad's to celebrate.

Here are five of the six Crosswhite grandchildren. Come May 19th there will be seven grandchildren!!!

After the New Year we will celebrate Christmas with Aaron's family. We missed all of the Stropes at Christmas, but look forward to spending time with them very soon.

Christmas Snow

The Strope family had a very memorable Christmas this year! To begin with it snowed 14 inches on Christmas Eve and then Christmas Day was eventful as well. Jack and I both spent the day puking! It hit us both during the night. Jack informed me that he puked on his pillow and blankie then ran to the bathroom and made it to the toilet! He never came down stairs to tell me he was sick. The night before Aaron and I had informed Jack that if he came downstairs in the middle of the night and Santa was here, Santa would take his presents away. Well, I guess the threat worked, but I felt horrible that he didn't come and get in my bed.

So, it took us several days to get outside and play in the snow. When we finally did, Jack had a great time and Molly squealed most of the time because her hands were cold and wet. Maybe next time she will keep her gloves on. The snow had melted quite a bit, so the snow was great for making snowmen.



Molly liked the snowman before we decorated him. Now she refuses to go anywhere near him.


THis picture of Molly is not the best. The snow had just started, it was blowing 40 mph, and she was wearing this hideous hand-me-down snowsuit. She reminds me of the little brother "Randy" on the movie, "Christmas Story." Especially when she would fall down in the snow and cry because she could not get up.

Milk Mustache

Jack has never been a fan of milk. I probably nursed him too long! Every now and then he manages to drink a few ounces for me. Well, tonight at dinner he drank a full eight ounces and then some. I think he was just having fun making "the milk mustache." I had to take a few pictures to remember this joyous occasion. And for proof, if the pediatrician ever needs it. I think I have been lying to our pediatrician for 2 and a half years! He eats a ton of yogurt and cheese, I never have been too concerned. Besides, I refuse to drink the stuff, myself.

In case you are wondering...the big ugly green thing on Jack's wrist is from his latest obsession, "Ben 10". His Aunt Jessica brought him this contraption over Thanksgiving. I think the only times he has taken it off was when his dad took it away from him during church and at night, when he puts it under his pillow.

Dress-up

Jack's dress-up skills have rubbed off on to Molly. Her latest fascination is to wear Jack's underwear. However, in these photos she found a pair of mine, and not pretty one's! She is also sporting one Croc and a blue Lowe's hat. All hats that look like Jack's or Daddy's, she insists on wearing it backwards. Again, something she has learned from Jack.




I think she stretched them out enough that I will be able to wear them thru my second and third trimester!
