Handsome man

Finally lost one of his top teeth.  It has been many months for this tooth to finally come out. I'm not ready for the awkward front teeth.

Making his birthday list.  He has a long list of Skylanders that he would love to buy!
Jack is loving his long hair.  He will not let us cut it.  He wants it long, we shall see...
Jack was bored one day while Molly and Luke were napping.   He was happy to pose for pictures.

More beach time

The kids love the beach and so do I.  We try to go at least three times a week right now and every day we play on a different beach.  Luke loves the marine life. This day we were in San Clemente.  Not a huge fan of this beach because there are lots of little rocks.  That didn't stop the kids from having fun and finding hidden treasures.  Luke really liked this starfish.  We also found jelly fish, shrimp, and a tiny octopus.

This is Molly with her new gal pals, Addison and Elise.  Addison is 5 and Elise is 3.  Perfect friends for Molly to play with.  We see these girls several times a week and they love to play on the beach together.
I love that little girls hold hands....

Then my camera died and I didn't get any pictures of Jack on the boogie board.  He had a blast!

Aaron's 35th Birthday

Aaron turned 35 last week.  No one better to celebrate with than your  own family.

We had Aaron's favorite "pink" cake when we got home.  Luke loved the icing.

Paparazzi on the beach!

Famous person????

Okay.  No famous person.  Just bad photography skills by my husband.  I saw these pictures and laughed because I felt like he was stalking us.  Luke and I were checking out the tide pools.  We found dozens of crabs and he was loving it.

Top of the World

Aaron left work early on Friday afternoon and we headed to the beach for some sun and family time.  We packed a picnic for dinner and enjoyed the evening in the sand.

As long as Luke has snacks on the beach he is totally happy.  He is pigging out on our new favorite Kettle corn from the Farmers Market that we went to that morning.

After our beach time we headed to our new favorite spot in Orange County.  A young family told us about a place called "Top of the World".  It is located in the center of Laguna Beach up on the top of the tallest hill.  We made it up there just before sunset.  It is a perfect place to see 360 degree views of Orange County!  So amazing.  We plan to take all of our visitors to Top of the World.  The hiking trails are perfect for kids to run and mom's to push strollers.

This is looking over Laguna Beach.  It was hazy this evening because of the marine layer and my cheap point and shoot camera just doesn't do it justice!

This is a view of Mission Viejo, where we currently are living, and the TALLEST mountain in the background is where our new house will be.  Seems to far from the beach...

Jack absolutely loved this excursion.  He asked me earlier in the day if we would need an oxygen mask because we would be "On top of the World"  Molly thought we would be climbing up ropes to get there!

Suburban has arrived!

They were trying to figure out how on earth the suburban would make it down to the ground safely.
Luke wanted to flex his muscles!
Our suburban arrived on Thursday, we are still waiting for Aaron's car.  Not sure why they did not come together?

Corona Del Mar

We went to Corona Del Mar last Sunday evening.  It was so busy.  Aaron and I were ready to turn around and go home, but the kids would not have anything to do with that!  I think their was a huge family reunion or church group at this beach on that day.  We were definitely the minorities!!!
Aaron taking a break to decide if he really wants to tackle the craziness on the beach.

This house had amazing ocean views.  I thought, Shannon, might like to see this fun house.

These crazy people looked like serious OU tailgaters.

Molly is so happy on the beach!
Luke is not so sure about the beach.

Luke loved having me bury his legs in the sand.  He sat so still for the longest time.  Then  a wave came rolling in and nailed him.

Every beach requires a long walk down a hill in order to make it to the beach.  We have really had to encourage Molly to suck up the tears and use her strong legs to walk back up the hill.  Still working on that!

This house was really neat.  The front yard is a great patio and these people can hang out in the front yard on their beautiful patio furniture from Pottery Barn.  They had all of their doors and windows propped open.  So refreshing! There are so many beautiful homes in Corona Del Mar.  These pictures don't do it justice.
