36 weeks

I turned 36 weeks last Wednesday! I also turned 30 years old on Saturday the 24th. Yikes!!!!

I am getting anxious, along with everyone else in this house. We now have two cribs in our house, thanks to a friend who let me borrow a crib. Molly sleeps so good, I couldn't mess that up. I told myself years ago, I would never have two babies in cribs. Man was I wrong. The nursery is no where near being completed. I have so much to buy. I hope to make a trip to Babies R Us very soon. So, different than the first child. People shower you with gifts and all of the necessities. With the 2nd and 3rd you are on your own.

We have also set an induction date for May 12th! I can see the end....................

Happy Birthday Molly

Molly celebrated her 2nd birthday last Friday and the entire weekend. We went to the ZOO on Friday. Molly had a great time playing at the new Children's ZOO and loves the water features.

Molly and her favorite baby helped me bake cupcakes for her party. They were cute and very tasty. We then made homemade ice cream and it was even tastier!

One year ago...

Molly turns 2 tomorrow! This is how cute she was one year ago. She still has the cheeks and thunder thighs, but the thick belly is gone. I am having a moment here. Sitting at home while Jack's at school and Molly is napping. Looking at pictures of her from the past two years, makes this pregnant hormonal mother very weepy. I love this sweet and sassy little girl. She brings so much joy to our lives and I am so thankful that she is mine!

Fishin' with Papa

Sunday afternoon we went fishing at our neighborhood pond. Papa loves to fish and spends a lot of his free time fishing, so I am trying to get my Dad to share his passion with my kids. Molly is terrified of wind, and Sunday was rather windy. She didn't last long and spent most of her time begging to go home. Here she is checking out the pond and the noisy geese! Terrified of the wind and of course the geese.

Here is Daddy's fish. Aaron was the first one to catch a fish and everyone was so excited. Molly of course panicked.
Jack then caught this fish with Papa's help of course. Jack was so "pumped" about his "huge" fish. Papa said it was a 4lb Channel Cat. Jack was so proud.

When Molly decided to loosen up a little, she insisted on taking her dress off. She loves being naked. So, we were the "white trash" family at the neighborhood pond!

Gramma Trish was trying to help Molly with the cane pole. Cane poles are perfect for little kids. Molly's tactic to fishing was swatting and splashing the pole in the water. Papa seemed a little frustrated with our fishing tactics. He thought for sure the fish would all be scared away. Jack kept throwing a huge stick in the water, which also added to Papa's frustration. However, the two fish that we caught that afternoon, were caught within minutes of all of the splashing! Maybe the Strope kids know what there doing.

Easter

I love this picture of Aaron and Molly. She is really loving her daddy these days. That's good because in about five or six weeks, her daddy is going to be doing a lot more with her.

Pictures from this day were not the best. Jack and Molly were very tired and grouchy. We went to mass at 7:30 that morning and had to wake them up early to hunt eggs and of course eat the candy in the baskets. This day was full of candy eating!


This is as good as it gets. These two kiddos never let me take pictures of them together.

Easter Eggs

We died Easter eggs last week and had a great time. Jack was an old pro and Molly didn't quite know what to think. Once she figured it out, she had a ball. She liked "double and triple dipping" her eggs.

Thanks to big cousin, Hanna, the kids had all sorts of fun. Hanna made up some fun games for the kids to play. I think Jack one his 1st place homemade blue ribbon from Pin the Stripe on the Easter Egg! We love Hanna's creativity.

33 weeks 5 days

Well, we are getting closer. Baby Strope's room has been painted and crib bedding delivered. We are trying to decide what to do for a crib. I probably should be kicking Molly out of the crib and in to a big girl bed, but I am not ready to do that. Oh well. Hopefully decisions will be made soon.

As far as my pregnancy goes, I am feeling good. Starting to feel lots of pressure and starting to retain some fluid. I hope to induce one week early and should be talking to my doctor about that soon. I am sure baby #3 will be as big as the first two, so one week early sounds good to me.
